OUR PROGRAM
BABY BOOK BUNDLES
Studies show that many low-income and minority families have trouble getting access to books and other early learning resources.
To combat this, each UnC.A.G.ED family will receive a FREE baby book bundle filled with 60-baby friendly books and baby items (toys, diapers, wipes, etc).
RAISING A READER®
Simply having books in the home wins half the battle. The other half is won when parents/caregivers engage with their children through book-sharing and stimulating activities.

To help families learn how to support their child's brain development through simple strategies they can implement into their daily routine, each family will participate in the Raising A Reader® program. In this program, families will:
​
-Attend weekly 1-hour educational sessions that will discuss strategies to support their child's education (will be delivered in a hybrid format with virtual and 2 optional in-person sessions due to COVID-19)
-Participate in a weekly curbside book rotation program in which families will receive and return 4 amazing Raising A Reader® books each week

INCENTIVES, VIRTUAL ACTIVITIES, & MORE!
Families will receive tons of support and incentives throughout the program including gift cards and baby items. Due to COVID-19, UnC.A.G.ED will also connect with families virtually in a number of ways including exclusive social media groups for families to support one another and live virtual read-a-longs from guests across the Columbus  community!
ELIGIBILITY
UnC.A.G.ED will serve up to 30 families who meet the following requirements:

Be a parent/guardian of a child aged 0-2
Live in Columbus, Ohio
Be of a racial/ethnic minority
Identify as low-income (We are hoping to work with families with a household income of $30,000 or less)
